Short Story Essay-Comparison and Contrast of Two of the Assigned Short Stories
- Format: MLA (Four-line Heading, Appropriate Title, Last Name and Page Numbers, Spacing, Parenthetical Citations)
- You do not need to include a works cited page since you will be using two stories taken from your textbook, and you are not required (nor are you encouraged) to do research for this paper. This should be your own analysis of the short stories that you have chosen.
- Parenthetical citations (specific references to the page numbers, authors,--if necessary, names of works-if using two works by the same author) must be included in the essay. See sample essay as well as the Guidelines document in the Course Menu.
- No parenthetical citations or quotes are to be included neither in the introductory paragraph nor in the concluding paragraph.
- A minimum of three brief quotes as well as three correctly MLA formatted parenthetical citations must be included in each of the body paragraphs.
