Calculate the vapor pressure of carbon dioxide

Consider the following reaction occurring at 298.15 K and 1 bar:

CaCO3 (s) ? CaO (s) + CO2 (g)

The solids do not form a solution and exist as pure, distinct phases. Assume carbon dioxide behaves as an ideal gas

(a) Calculate the vapor pressure of carbon dioxide which exists in equilibrium with the two solid species.

(b) How would increasing the total pressure to 2 atm change your result in part (b)?

(c) How would increasing the temperature to 100 oC change your result in part (b)?
