Consider two flat plates seperated by a distance of 0.25 in. In this application castor oil is used as a lubricant. The viscosity of the oil is 0.00206 lbf s/ft^2 .The upper plate moves 10 ft/sec to the right and the lower plate moves 10ft/sec to the left

(a) If the velocity varies linearly from one plate to the other, calculate the shear stress on each plate.

(b) Calculate the force exerted on a 2m^2 section of the plater.
