1. Determine three projects in history that had the biggest impact to our society. For each of these projects identify (10 points):
Project start and end dates

Project Duration
Project Resources
Project Team members
Project Objectives
Project outcome (deliverable)
Whether the project was a success or a failure and why?
2. Visit the Project Management Institute's website and answer the following questions:
a. How many different kinds of certifications does the Institute offer? Which of the certifications you are eligible to apply (5 points)?
b. What is PMBOK? What are the major areas of PMBOK (5 points)?
Tips on the Assignment
The assignments in this course are either sourced from (1.) reading the textbook and slides, or (2.) searching for reliable information on the Internet, or on (3.) files that I post. I am able to determine if you are submitting your own original work.
You do not have to do the Review questions in the back of each chapter. But on most assignments, I will ask you to do some of the Exercises. So ignore the Review questions and only focus on the Exercises when its requested in the assignment document.
Assignment part:
Not all projects have details on the Internet, but do the best you can to search and find credible information on projects. Always cite your sources.
Think about impactful projects like the ones local to Cleveland - Cleveland RNC, Euclid Corridor, Cleveland Hopkins Airport Expansion, Renovation of Public Square, the renovation of the Flats. Also think of international and national projects like the Erie Canal, the Big Dig, Mars Rover, etc.
