PROJECT OVERVIEW

You work in the HR department of your company and have been asked to prepare a presentation for a new hire orientation. The presentation will describe, in detail, both the voluntary and mandatory benefits provided by your company. The information will provide enough detail to ensure the new hire has the information needed to make an informed decision on benefit choices.

DELIVERABLES

Papers should be in APA format, double spaced, in 12 point font and with a 1” margin. Please make sure to properly cite all sources.

Part A:
Write a 3 to 4 page detailed benefits summary. This summary should be a detailed explanation of what benefits a company may offer to a new employee, thus ensuring the employee has enough information to make an informed decision on benefit choices. What would you like to see if you were the employee? Choose between mandated and voluntary benefits. Your benefit plan should include at least 6 different types of benefits.
Part B:
Revise your Part A draft based on feedback from your instructor.
Part C:
Create a 6-slide PowerPoint presentation summarizing the information in your Benefit Summary from week 8. In one of your slides, be sure to present a clear explanation of how organizations derive value from following proper human resource protocol. In other words, why is it important for companies to follow the guidelines set forth by human resources? Additionally, be sure to address how the course assignments will help prepare you for your chosen profession.
