CaaS refers to a terminology provided with in the telecom industry since the Communication as a Service. The Voice-over-Ip (VoIP) follows a similar delivery model. CaaS may offer the enterprise user features like desktop call control, presence, unified messaging, and the desktop faxing. Additionally to the enterprise attributes, CaaS also has the set of services for contact center automation which involves the IVR, ACD, call recording, multimedia routing (e-mail and text chat), and the screen pop integration.
