Hard real-time system is a system in which the event should be completed within the time limit, otherwise it may eventually cause failure and even loss of life. Whereas Soft real-time scheduling also require for the action to be accomplished within the deadline, but if the event is not able to get completed within the time, it will not cause any kind of destruction.
