DNA as well as RNA, the nucleic acids, is molecules which are accountable for the hereditary information which commands protein synthesis in the living beings. The name ‘nucleic’ originates from the fact that they were formed (by Swiss biochemist Friedrich Miescher, in the year of 1869) in cell nucleus.
