To make it effective, an interview should be properly planned and conducted on certain principles; At this end E dwin B. Flippo for good interviewing has been described certain rules and principles:-
1. Provide surroundings. The physical setting for the interview should be both private and comfortable.
2. The mental setting should be one of rapport. For non-verbal behaviour the interviewer must be aware.
3. Plan for the interview by thoroughly reviewing job specifications and job descriptions.
4. Determine the specific objectives and the method of the interviewing.
5. The known information about the interviewee you should inform yourself.
