You will revise a report that provides information on growing tulips. You will complete the document so that it is ready for the fall gardening meeting. You know of many features in Word that you can use to finish and present an easy-to-follow report. You will track changes, accepting and rejecting them as necessary, credit sources used in the preparation of the report, and you will include a table of contents and an index.

For the purpose of grading the project you are required to perform the following tasks:

1 Download and open the file named exploring_w04_grader_h1.docx.

2 Ensure that the markup view is All Markup. Scroll to the third page and reject the insertion of a sentence about squirrels. Be sure to reject only that change, not all changes in the document.

3 Accept all changes in the document, and stop tracking. Do not delete comments.

4 Change all headings that use Heading 3 style to Heading 1 (as per the comment left by the author). Headings formatted with Heading 3 style include Origins, Planting, After Flowering, and Forcing Tulips.

5 Reply to the first comment on page 2 by typing I have made the style replacement. (Include the period.)

6 Select the first tulip picture on the left on page 2 click the REFERENCES tab, and then click Insert Caption in the Captions group. Modify the Caption text as Figure 1: Angelique. (Do not type the period, and include only one space after the colon.) Make sure the caption displays below the selected image.

7 Assign captions below the remaining tulip pictures as directed by the comment balloons on page 2. The photos are numbered from left to right, with the first row of pictures identified as Figure 1, Figure 2, and Figure 3.

8 Add a caption below the Planting Guide image on page 3, as Figure 6:Planting Guide. (Do not type the period, and include only one space after the colon.)

9 Select MLA Seventh Edition writing style. Click before the period ending the second paragraph in the Planting section, ending with 5 to 6 inches apart. Insert a citation with a new Book source:

Author: Tripp, Halleck

Title: The Complete Gardener's Guide
Year: 2012
City: Houston
Publisher: Halpern

10 Click before the period ending the first sentence in the document, ending with turban. Insert a citation with a new Journal Article source:
Corporate Author: American Gardeners' Association
Title: What's in a Name?
Journal Name: Journal of American Gardeners
Year: 2016
Pages: 22-27
Volume: 14
Issue: 9

11 Modify the Book source (The Complete Gardener's Guide) to change the year to 2013. (Hint: Use Manage Sources to edit the source both in the master list and the current document.)

12 Click after the word Tripp in the last paragraph on page 2 (but before the period). Insert the Tripp citation you created in step 9. Edit the citation you just created to include page 23, and suppress the display of Author, Year, and Title.

13 Click after the period ending the third paragraph in the Planting section. The sentence ends with made by the planter. Insert a footnote with the text Stanley, Meredith Parelli. A Guide to Tulips (Sunrise, October 2009). (Do not include the period and leave only one space after Parelli.)

14 Insert a blank page at the end of the report and insert a bibliography with the title Works Cited. The bibliography should be double-spaced with no paragraph spacing before or after.

15 Format the bibliography with a font of Times New Roman and a font size of 12 pt. The title Works Cited should be centered. All text in the bibliography should be Black, Text 1 font color. Ensure that no text is bold.

16 Create a table of contents, with an Automatic Table 1 style, on a new page positioned between the cover page and the current page 2.

17 Mark the following words as index entries, selecting Mark All for each: Holland, perennials, deadheading, and soil. Create an index entry cross-referencing the words dirt to soil.

18 Add an index on a blank page at the end of the document. Use Classic format and accept all other default settings.

19 Insert a footer with a centered page number, using Plain Number 2 format. Do not display the footer on the first page. Numbering begins with page 2 on the Table of Contents page.

20 Save the document and exit Word. Submit the document as directed.
