You are employed as a very highly paid consultant from a top consulting firm whom Delta's Board of Directors has hired. You are to advise the Board on whether or not to launch a new low cost carrier that Delta's CEO and top management team are recommending. As part of your analysis, you are studying the effects of the new carrier on Delta's costs, with an emphasis on salary costs. Write a business memo to the Chairman of Delta's Board of Directors detailing your findings and recommendations (which includes answers to the six questions posed in the case).
