Assignment: Programming Project Information
Write Python scripting application to perform (automate) several geoprocessing tasks.
Project Deliverables
Students will submit the following digital documents as part of their final project:
DO NOT SEND DATA
1. Python script file - include plenty of documentation and comments in your code to help explain the functionality of your code.
This file will be called: _script.py
2. Word document that documents the project.
a. Summary
b. Purpose. Include what you hope to accomplish with this project
c. Description of the geoprocessing tasks
d. Summary of any difficulties/issues and how you resolved them
3. A separate Executive Project Summary. This file will be a separate document that shows the executive summary of your project. The summary information will be repeated in the primary Word document for the project.
This file will be called: _Summary.doc (or docx) for open source
4. Power point showing screen shots of your code with a brief explanation and summary slides outlining the general processes in your script, and some of the derived output.
This file will be called: _ppt.ppt (or pptx) for open source
5. Provide a valid email address
Projects are not required to function inside of ArcGIS's Toolbox.
THERE WILL BE NO IN-CLASS OR WEB PRESENTATION TO GIVE.
