Suppose a nonvolatile material is added to a pure component liquid.  Assuming Raoult's law holds for the volatile material, does the  boiling point goes up, stays the same, or goes down.   Why, explain using VLE arguments.

John argues that the enthalpy of saturated steam at 1 atm and 212°F is 970 Btu/lb.  Jane says it is 0 Btu/lb.  Is one of them right? 0 Both of them right?  None of them right?  Explain.
