Narrative Essay
Write a short (750ish word) personal essay narrating a meaningful, memorable event. Utilize the techniques we discuss in class to make your story as vivid, deeply felt, and detail-rich as possible. Make sure you write about something manageable (eg, don't write about an entire year of your life, or about something so difficult to write about that you're not sure what to say), and make sure that you're writing about something important to you. Remember, the primary goal of a narrative essay (at least as I view it) is to convey to your reader the feeling you felt as you were living the events you're describing. Consider what structure, voice, and details will help convey that feeling.
I don't have any more guidelines. These are your stories, and I want them to be unique, and as true to your experience as possible. Do what you like with this assignment, and ask me any questions that come to mind.
