write a personal reflection journal on the

Write a personal reflection journal on the recorded Employability / Career Development Toowoomba campus presentation provided on the ACC1101 course homepage.

This Assessment requires students to listen to a recorded guest presentation at Toowoomba campus on 14 March 2012 on Employability / Career development and write their reflection journal on the presentation.

To encourage creativity and style, students are free to decide on the format of their work. Bullet points and listing of items are discouraged.

First you just need to document your reactions to the presentation. For example the presenter mentioned skills identified as being desirable for employees.

Did any of these surprise you? Can you identify any strengths and weaknesses? Are any more relevant to your particular career choice?

Analysis of this might be to think about our personal skill set and where you are in your career now and where you want to be. What steps do you need to take?

Can you identify any of the USQ career resources that might be useful to you in that journey?

When thinking about your skill set and what might be required you might refer to the additional readings.

You also might reflect of past experiences. E.g. Have you worked as part of a team before? How successful was that?

You just need to demonstrate that you have responded to the presentation by applying some of the ideas/issues raised to your own situation and thought about how you might manage your career path going forward.
