I would like you to compose a 5-paragraph personal essay on one of the following topics:

1. Any fear/phobia you may have

OR

2. how you handle stress and stressors in your life

There are articles posted in course which should help jump start your ideas.

Keep the following in mind as you brainstorm, organize and compose your essay:

o how long have you had this fear/phobia?

o how do you think this fear/phobia originated?

o how has this fear/phobia impacted your life?

o how have you faced or reconciled this fear/phobia?

OR

who or what are the stressors in your life?

what are the stressors or the stress triggers?

how does stress affect emotionally/physically?

How do you handle or manage your stress?

Do not answer each question individually, but incorporate your responses into the body paragraphs of your essay. While many essays obviously are longer than the standard 5-paragraph essay format, I would like you to limit your sample to 5 paragraphs since this will be a sample of your present writing skills.
