Write a paragraph description of your piece and any

You would like to step into the shoes of the artist and put into action the concepts you have learned in this class. Create YOUR OWN work of art. You may choose from one of the content ideas below and you may use any medium you like. You can use graphite and draw stick figures, you can use your cell phone to take pictures, you can sculpt out of play-doh, you can use a digital program if you might have access to one, you can create a line drawing in sand... the list goes on.

Use any medium you like but when you have finished your piece please take a picture of the work and post in the forum as an attachment. Please only post .jpg .doc and .docx files. I can not view images in any other format.

Please write a paragraph description of your piece and any information you would like to share about the work or how you made the piece.

Content Options:

Landscape - For centuries nature has captivated and inspired artists. From awe inspiring photographs to dreamy Abstract paintings. Capture the nature around you now or create an image of where you wish to be right now.

Cityscape - Industrialization has made a huge impact on the landscape developing our own human made Cityscape. Capture the city around you or create an image of the city you wish to be in now.

Still Life- Still Life's are a study of objects that can be full of symbolic meaning or a grouping of aesthetically pleasing objects. Collect together your own group of objects and capture your Still Life

Portrait - Portraits of individuals have been made for many different reasons over the years. The Ancient Greeks and Romans would crate portraits of Gods, Goddesses and Heroes. Today we create them to capture a documentation of an individual. They can be serious or silly and can even be of your favorite pet. Create a portrait of anyone you like (real or fictional).

Cartoon - They can be just one frame or a series of frames that create a narrative but regardless of how they are made cartoons are designed to make us laugh and to sometimes to make us think. Have you seen something in your life that is begging for a funny subtitle?

Then this is your chance to make your own cartoon!
