Why singapore is often viewed as a country that values

Problem

WORK ETHIC AND CULTURE: The Bahamas and Singapore According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, work ethic refers to "a belief in work as a moral good: a set of values centered on the importance of doing work and reflected especially in a desire or determination to work hard." In some cultures, a strong work ethic is highly valued, as evidenced by the actions of governmental agencies and citizens alike. However, in other cultures, a strong work ethic is not highly valued. As illustrated in the quotes1 below, it can be argued that Singapore belongs in the former category, whereas The Bahamas belongs in the latter category. Be reminded that culture is not categorical, so there will be exceptions in both societies.

Explain, with examples from non-educational institutions, why Singapore is often viewed as a country that values a strong work ethic AND explain how this is similar to and/or different from what typically happens in Bahamian non-educational workplaces.
