A. Describe some of the problems under the Articles of Confederation that led to the drafting of a new Constitution. In your answer, be sure to discuss national defense, foreign affairs, and the national government's power under the Articles of Confederation, as well as Shays's Rebellion.
B. Describe the ways in which the framers limited the national government's power under the Constitution. Why might the framers have placed such limits on the government they had just created?
C. What were the major points of contention between the Federalists and the Antifederalists? How do those points of contention underlie the structure of government that resulted from the Constitution?
