During a steady flow process,dry saturated steam at 450 psia expands in a turbine to 10 psia. The mechanical efficiency of the turbine is 85%. Neglecting changes in kinetic and potential energy and assuming there is no heat loss or gain during the process. determine:

a) the work output in Btu/lbm.

b) the temperature and condition of the turbine exhaust.

c) estimate the number of degrees of superheat required in the supply steam for the same work output in a)to achieve dry saturated exhaust.
