Why does champagne have bubbles

Question: Why does champagne have bubbles? Yeast fermentation continues after the champagne is bottled. Yeast produce O2 during aerobic respiration. CO2 is used to make glucose during respiration. Dead yeast cells release CO2 into the bottles.
