One Academic Integrity violation is ... and this means... another one is... and this means...

The academic integrity section discusses academic dishonesty. One area of dishonesty is plagiarism. Define plagiarism in your own words. Your own words can of course refer to what plagiarism is.

1. Why do you think students plagiarize? Again, please use examples from the materials you read. Make sure you include supporting evidence to create a strong paragraph. Examples: Lack of time management, not understanding the materials, failure to seek help, waiting until the last minute.

2. Describe how students can avoid academic dishonesty, in group work or as an individual? Bring examples from your readings to write your last paragraph. There are things we have covered in our class discussions that will help students ensure their3work is not plagiarized. They are: Time management, giving proper credit, citing, referencing, and making sure each of the contributors of the work is given the proper credit. Also using up to date information.
