Problem
Why are the COVID-19 cases higher in certain areas of the United States and particular regions around the world? Why do you think that many Americans do not "trust" or "believe in" science? What will it take for life to really return back to "normal?" Or, are we already there? Because of the pandemic, medical and health inequities have become even more pronounced, especially for minority groups like African Americans, Native Americans, and Hispanics. The pandemic has also shown that poverty, inadequate diets, and the absence of grocery stores/pharmacies remain a major issue in many of their communities. Will this pandemic also help to show that science and technology can not only fight disease but are also needed to improve the lives of ALL Americans?
