Problem
A grant from the government is money that is given to a good project by a federal, state, or local government.Essentially, it is a transfer payment. Technical assistance and other forms of financial support, such as a loan or loan guarantee, an interest rate subsidy, direct appropriation, or revenue sharing, are not included in a grant.
It is not expected of the grantee to repay the money; rather, it is expected of them to use the funds for the stated purpose, which typically serves a larger cause.
