Assignment
1. Explain what challenges the state and national standards (including Common Core) present to you as a teacher. (My state is Alabama so this is the state standards you will need to cite)
2. Based upon your experience, explain how the state and national standards are similar to, or different from, the ways that you were taught math and science in elementary school. Include a discussion here about your basic thoughts and understandings about STEM and STEAM.
3. Which state and national standards are areas of strength and weakness for you as a teacher? Why do you believe that you are strong or weak in these areas?
