Problem:
Explore the functions of water in the body, including its role in digestion, circulation, temperature regulation, and toxin removal.
Water is the basis of how our body functions. In a sense, it keeps things moving. For example, water helps break down food so nutrients can be absorbed and transported throughout the body. It is also the main part of blood, carrying oxygen, nutrients, and hormones where they need to go to flush out waste.
Water also plays a vital function in keeping body temperature within healthy range. An example of that is sweating. Sweating helps to cool us down and keeps our internal temperature stable. Water serves as a vehicle for toxin removal. This aids the kidneys filtering out waste and balancing electrolytes. The lack of water can cause the body to slow down, dehydration, fatigue, and eventually kidney problems.
