This discussion is designed so that we can get to know each other's comfort level with public speaking and share tips and tricks for managing anxiety. For example, maybe before giving a presentation at work, you practice deep breathing exercises. Or maybe your technique for battling nerves is to distract yourself before the presentation by looking at social media. Explain how you manage anxiety and which new methods from the course material you're planning to use. Include the following in your post:

1. Your experiences with public speaking, including class presentations, toasts, or coaching experiences.

2. Any techniques you've relied on to reduce public speaking anxiety.

3. A description of a public speaking scenario that could cause fear or anxiety. (This does not need to be a personal experience, just something that could realistically happen.)

4. Replies to at least two other students' scenarios, analyzing and explaining two or three anxiety-reducing techniques from the readings and videos that you would use in this instance and why. Be sure to cite where the technique is described in the course material.
