What would your first two or three steps be and why

Management Problem

• We learn that Phil establishes a team to address the recent (and potentially devastating) denial of service attacks experienced by two of WebSolutions' biggest clients. Based on your read of this team's functioning,

o What issues are at play and how might these issues impact both the team's outcome (goal or directive) and the process (how they go about the task)?

o At the start of the next meeting, Phil receives an urgent call and excuses himself from the meeting. Before he leaves, he asks you, one of his subordinates, to "take over." Now that the meeting is in your hands, what would you do and why? Discuss how you would deal with the unsurfaced issues and potential fears among your teammates.

• If instead of Phil assembling and leading the team, he gave you the directive (i.e., create a team to figure out what happened and how we can prevent it in the future),

o What would your first two or three steps be and why?

o Assuming none of the employees ever worked on a team before, what issues are you likely to face in the early forming stage? How would you overcome these issues?

The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
