Part I:
The acts of philosophizing and "thinking again" are best accomplished through discussion, conversation, and sometimes even debate. This is how ideas become fleshed out and conversations move forward. As such, students are expected to produce a robust, video discussion based on their engagement with course materials. The primary qualifier for all discussions is that they must have their foundation in either our philosophical and connect directly to one or more key excerpts, ideas, passages, or concepts.
The prompt for this original post discussion revolves around the following question(s):
What would you say is the most significant concept or compelling idea presented in this week's course material? Why do you hold that position?
Part II:
Complicated concepts require careful consideration. Students will produce an Articulation Artifact showing their engagement with, and mastery of this week's readings and resources. Students' articulation artifacts will take the form of a personalized Google Web Site. As in previous weeks, the goal is to demonstrate a reasonable level of understanding for this week's core theses, important premises, and key concepts.
To create a site, first access the MACU Gmail app on OneLogin or sign into your Google Drive account. From there, you will start a new site by choosing a template in the top header row; for a visual overview, you may also consult this helpful video on How to Create Your First Google Site.
Note: Every time you make changes to your Google Site, you must publish your site before your professor can see them. Once complete, you will submit the website's URL to the appropriate Dropbox either by submitting a word document with the link on it or by copying and pasting the link into the Dropbox folder's comment box.
Part III:
After reflecting on the readings, resources, and other discussions, write a reflective journal entry on the following question(s):
i. What is on your mind from this week's material and discussion?
ii. What captured your attention or made you think?
iii. What ideas or concepts did you find helpful, compelling, or valuable?
iv. What ideas or concepts did you find less helpful?
v. What ideas or concepts did you find immediately applicable to your life, work, or relationships? How will you apply them.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
