What would you do differently to ensure the successful

Assignment

What do you think of this implementation approach?

The strategic plan for the organization should be communicated to all stakeholders. Without this information, it is nearly impossible for each stakeholder to strive towards the goals of the organization.

Do you think it will be an effective strategy? Why or why not?

If do not feel that it is an effective strategy for only senior management to know of the five year strategic plan of the assisted living facility. By not communicating the goals of the organization, it sets the organization up for failure. Each of the stakeholders have an active piece in the goals for the organization. If a CNA at the assisted living facility feels they are doing their job correctly but does not get a good performance review due to the organization not meeting their goals, the CNA would be upset and their could be a decrease in performance. The CNA would begin to wonder what else the organization is not telling them.

However, every little detail of the strategic plan does not be to be communicated with every stakeholder. Many people do have communication overload and get can get lost in the information given to them. Each member of a team needs to be conscientious of their contributions and obligations to the assisted living facility and know the what and why they are doing what they are doing and changes that are being made (McComb, Schroeder, Kennedy, Vozdolska, 2012).

What would you do differently to ensure the successful implementation of the assisted living facilities strategic plan?

What I would do differently to ensure the assisted living facility has a successful strategic plan would be to effectively communication the plan to all stakeholders. When communicating this type of information it is important for the leaders to take into consideration the size of the organization. The assisted living facility has staff that work around the clock. It is not a very large facility but does have a number of staff. People absorb information in different ways. For an organization such as this facility, I feel that senior management should set up meetings with staff to discuss the plan. As mentioned earlier, not every detail of the plan needs to be discussed. Senior management should give a layout of the plan and where the organization wants to be in the next five years. This is also where senior management should provide what they are expecting of the stakeholders. In addition, an email with key points should be sent out to all stakeholders. This provides two avenues of stakeholders receiving the information and allows them to respond with questions and/or concerns.
