What would be local and federal government facilities


Assignment task: I have been researching my business concept in a few areas.

The target market for the clientele I am aiming for would be local and federal government facilities.  The best route for me to get connected with opportunities in would be through the contract bid websites such as sam gov and Pennbid for my area. Initially, I plan on starting locally and expanding as business takes off.

The competition would be nationwide for the federal contracts. The area that I will be focusing on will be set aside contracts for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The government sets aside three percent of the contracts each year for SDVOSB's.  Which will give me a small advantage with contract procurement.

The contract labor would come through subcontracting in specialized fields, and I would be the project manager coordinating the contract completion with the contractors and the government representatives.

I will establish the company as an LLC to have personal liability protection.
