FIRST GENERATION COLLEGE STUDENTS

• From likely low-income families or communities

• Hispanic or African American (Terenzini et al., 1996)

Differences: I was only interested in a higher education for career purposes to be able to obtain a career vs job

Student athletes are a unique demographic of students in higher education. They participate in higher education for both athletic and academic purposes and it is the job of higher education staff to help these students manage both of these aspects in addition to helping them prepare for their futures after college

Me as a higher Education will teach my students no matter who they are and what the purpose. I would take in consideration my range of my student body that ranges from the FGCS to the student athlete.

Although the similarities and difference amongst my students my teaching style will make it easy for all of the student to relate and learn from.
