What was the purpose or main topic of the study

Problem

Pick any research article from the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA) from 2000 to present, summarize it, and relate it back to the concepts we learned about in class. Make sure the article is a research article (i.e., it has a method and results section and is not a review or commentary).

Your summary should answer the following questions:

A. What was the purpose or main topic of the study?

B. What were the main variables of the study and how were they defined or measured?

C. What methods were used in the study?

D. What were the main findings?

E. What are the implications of this study? In other words, why was it important? How did it add to the literature in this area?

Then, identify at least two concepts in the article that relate back to course content, define the term, and explain the link.

For example, if the article used a DRO schedule of reinforcement, you could comment that "This article demonstrated a clinical use of the differential reinforcement of other behavior (DRO) reinforcement schedule we learned about in class. In this procedure, positive reinforcement is provided when a target behavior is not displayed for a programmed amount of time. In the article, the therapists initially provided the child with access to an iPad for every 5 minutes that hand-mouthing was not displayed, and the reinforcement schedule was eventually thinned to a 30-min DRO interval."
