Each day we seem to be hearing more and more about unionization attempts at Amazon, Starbucks, Target, and Apple. We haven't had much news about employee unions once we became an information-age/knowledge-based/service economy. Provide answers to the following 2 questions - Use the Internet to research current unionization actions.
i. What is happening to cause this recent push for employees to vote unions into their workplaces? What can management in organizations do to eliminate unionization in their workplaces?
ii. What role does HR play when unions are involved in a firm? How can HR work to best meet employee AND management needs when sometimes these needs are in conflict with each other?
