A new start-up company, RideAlong, offers a new pricing app. With all the different transportation options (Uber, Lyft, taxi, etc), it's difficult to tell which one will be the least expensive;RideAlong asks you to input your trip (date, time, distance, etc) and it will list out all your options. There is also a direct link to the mode of your choice. The company is in a quandary over what features it should have over just listing the options (e.g., voice recognition). The profit model is that for every time you use the service, they get a percentage from the transportation company. Some in the company feel it should be subscription based. Discuss: The product: What is its value, what kind of product is it (market leader, price leader, etc), and what attributes will drive its success? What do you think the MVP is for this product?
