In addition, read the company profiles of Costco (p. 103 in Ch. 4), United Parcel Service (p. 132 in Ch. 5), JC Penney Company (p. 138 in Ch. 5) and Steelcase Inc. (p. 151 in Ch. 5) from your textbook and respond to the following questions.
What learning techniques do these companies share? How are they different?
Jot down some notes about the companies referenced above. In the discussion area, post the learning techniques which you believe make them effective.
Compare and contrast these techniques with the ones currently in use at your workplace or class (please do not include names to protect the innocent and not so innocent).
What recommendations could you make to your present manager or teacher to improve employee learning? Review what others have posted and comment on any experiences you may share in observing or experiencing your classmates'' recommendations.
