POSTING:

Leadership Style Assessment

I have high scores in both the task and relationship categories, with the latter significantly higher. (Dr. Mary Uhl-Bien, 2015), argues that leaders should put more emphasis on interpersonal connections. The results of the leadership assessment are an accurate reflection of my performance as a leader. By networking with others in my business, I recruited a group of hard-working, cooperative individuals who quickly responded to requests for help. Some people have that certain thing that allows them to step into leadership roles. These characteristics allow people to motivate others to get things done (Northouse, 2022).

The primary motivation behind the behavioral approach is to explain how leaders integrate task and relational behavior to influence employees' efforts to reach objectives (Northouse, 2022). People can feel safe in their relationships with themselves, others, and the world around them when they engage in relationship activity. Patterns like environmental degradation, water scarcity, and social unrest highlight the need for global leadership to effect change. According to (Seki & Holt, 2012), Culturally sensitive leaders will not shy away from difficult conversations, actively seek out new perspectives, and look beyond traditional boundaries to find long-term solutions.

Considering that leadership is a learned skill and not a natural one, the assessment could be helpful to a company that has found itself with employees in positions of authority but lack the requisite skills. These people cannot create, influence, and encourage others to do better. Successful companies aggressively seek out and place employees on a career track to help them reach their full leadership potential (Kotter, 2001).

A company's employee turnover rate is partly attributed to its management style. The effectiveness of those working under a particular leader's supervision can be boosted or lowered, depending on that leader's chosen leadership style. The degree to which a connection thrives depends on whether the leader uses transformational or transactional methods. A leader's ability to inspire their team to improve rests on their ability to lead, coach, and train them.
