You will share your work in progress with your fellow classmates and provide helpful and constructive feedback to one another.
In your initial response, attach your own draft of at least the first page (more if possible) of your evaluation essay by no later than Tuesday.
Preface your rough draft with any questions you may have as well as the type of feedback you wish to receive.
Provide feedback to at least two of your fellow team members by no later than Friday so that everyone has an opportunity to incorporate that feedback. Prioritize responding to students who have not received any feedback yet. If everyone has received at least one response, then respond to the student who has received the fewest responses.
Copy and paste the following questions into your responses. Be sure to answer in complete sentences.
i. Is the essay formatted correctly-title page, double spacing, indented first line of each paragraph?
ii. Is the writer's opinion about the effectiveness of the talk clearly stated in the thesis?
iii. How does the writer evaluate the topic, audience, purpose, organization, and tone of the talk?
iv. What types of evidence does the writer evaluate, such as anecdotes, visual aids, statistics, or examples?
v. How effective is the writer's conclusion?
vi. What kinds of grammatical errors are evident in the essay?
vii. What is one suggestion you have for the writer?
