What is the order with respect to oh -1 for this reaction


For a particular reaction an increase in the OH^-1 concentration from .1 M to .2M causes a four fold increase in the rate of the reaction. What is the order with respect to OH ^-1 for this reaction? The answer is 2 and the solution is 2^X = 4 ; X=2. Do I do this with every rate reaction problem?
