What is the best aspect of the workshop why is it the best

Reflective practice exercise

The workshop format in Company Law is also referred to as the inverted or flipped lecture in the education literature. The lecture is 'flipped' because the delivery of content which is normally in the 2 hour lecture is replaced by activities that apply prior knowledge attained by students outside the lecture. Unlike the traditional lecture model you are used to in other courses, your first exposure to technical knowledge is before, not during, the workshop and the application of knowledge takes place during the workshop. As the workshop format is new for most students, it can be quite a "culture shock". You are responsible for reading the material (e.g. video, workbook and textbook) prior to the workshop and then being an active participant during workshop exercises that test your interpersonal, written communication and other skills.

The second reflective exercise requires you to answer the following questions:

  • What is the best aspect of the workshop? Why is it the best aspect of the workshop for you?
  • What aspects of the workshop do you find challenging? For example, an aspect may be uncomfortable, confronting or difficult. Why do you find these aspects challenging? For example, are these challenges you have experienced previously at university, a workplace or life in general?
  • What can you do to overcome the challenges you have experienced with the workshop?

Please make sure you read the instructions before completing this exercise Maximum 250 words.
