The aim of this assessment is to create a report that reviews the currency and efficacy of a diversity policy and makes recommendations for how the policy can be improved.

ACTIVITY B - PRESENTATION

Presentation - grievance procedure

Imagine you need to conduct a small group training session, or run a department meeting with the purpose of informing your employees of a recently implemented grievance procedure.

The procedure is to specifically deal with responding to complaints of bullying and sexual harassment. (and any other topics that may be given by your trainer)

You are required to do the following;

· Create an electronic presentation on PowerPoint or Keynote covering the topics as outlined on the criteria sheet.
· Make a 20-minute presentation to a small group, or as instructed by your assessor.
· Refer to the ‘observable skills/tasks' checklist for an outline of the assessment criteria.
· You will be assessed using the checklist listed. The Trainer may add to this checklist as required.

· What is bullying? Identify bullying behaviours. Discuss bullying and the law.

How the company handles complaints of bullying and harassment, both informally and formally. (Another assessment may be added by your trainer to these topics, depending on the number of students in the group)

· What happens if the complaint is not resolved by the company? Outline the external process.
