What is philosophy of religion as a discipline? Why is it important? In the study of epistemology, how are faith, knowledge, and certainty related? Does knowledge require absolute certainty, according to the instructor? What is evidentialism? What is fideism? What is Reformed epistemology? Which system do you prefer (with what assumptions or limitations)? How did the instructor related Luther's theology of the cross, the silence or hiddenness of God, and similar themes to epistemology? (Illustrated by Job, Endo, the Jewish Halocaust, Pascal) What do we mean by religion? What is a good definition? What should the role of reason be in our religion and faith?
