Think back to your grade school days and the kinds of students who were disciplined in some way (e.g., sent to the office, given detention, suspended, expelled). Pinpoint a student or a group of students who fits that description.
Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:
a) Describe the student(s) and the behavior(s) they displayed that got them in trouble.
b) What factors may have played a role in their behavior? Did cultural background, experiences, language, or developmental level play a factor?
c) If that student or group of students were in your classroom, what steps might you take to understand their needs?
