Problem
In "from Three Guineas," Virginia Woolf takes aim at the traditional patriarchal culture, particularly by identifying war, conflict, and fighting as something that provides "manly satisfaction," but is "as foreign to [women] as centuries of tradition and education" (838) can make it. She also rejects the patriotic ideal of "fighting to protect [her] country," because based on the "position of her sex and class," it isn't her country. Why does she make this claim?
