Within a theory there is an independent and a dependent variable. Also, there are descriptors, or elements, of each variable. If you theorize "if I go to work, I will get paid," then "work" and "paid" are your variables. What describes "work" and what constitutes being "paid" are your elements. In our senior citizen story, name the variables in your theory and state what the elements are.
