What court has the authority to be the final decision-maker

Problem: You have violated the law that you identified in Weeks 1 and 2. Your victim (if applicable) is your next-door neighbor.  Your answer should be between 5 and 10 sentences in length.

If your case was taken to federal court, which of the 94 district courts would have original jurisdiction over your case? Which of the 13 federal circuit courts would it go to if you appealed the case? This is the simplest part of the assignment as this is almost always decided by geography. Look up a map of the 94 district and 13 circuit courts and use that map to answer this question. This must be done based on the Florida statute 776.032 "Stand Your Ground"

Is the law most likely to be heard in a federal district court or a state trial court - and why?

If the case is appealed, which appellate court will hear the case? What court has the authority to be the final decision-maker for the case? Your state court of last resort or the Supreme Court? Explain your answer.
