You read about commonly misused words, using commons, colons, and semicolons, punctuating quotations, and the difference between active and passive voice when writing. As you consider your own writing abilities, what do you see as you biggest challenge with writing as a journalist? What can you do to improve your writing skills? How do you feel about other people reading what you write?

Visit U.S.A. Today Click "Opinion" from the top navigation menu and chose an editorial to review. Share the title of the editorial and the author, along with the link to the editorial. Evaluate the editorial based on the following criteria: Was the author knowledgeable on the topic? Did the author support their views with facts? Did you agree or disagree with the author? Was the editorial persuasive? Did the author address counter-arguments for the topic?
