Next, review the section "Six Barriers to Success" on pages 63-83 in your course text.
Write a 2- to 3-page paper that addresses the following questions:
What are the key characteristics of the educational setting? Who are the learners? Who are the instructors or facilitators? What kinds of learning experiences are provided?
What barriers to success might people with disabilities encounter in this setting?
Which of these barriers are the result of differences in the thinking and behavior of individuals?
Which barriers could be removed or reduced, and how? What would need to be done to remove the particular barrier(s)?
