What are your views on ontological humility

Problem

The ability to consider the opponent's cognitive and affective viewpoints, comprehend how the dispute appears to the other person, and grasp how that person reacts emotionally and attitudinally are critical components of successful problem-solving and conflict resolution (Johnson, D., 2019). A person's comprehension of the subject is constrained and lacking if they cannot consider opponents' viewpoints.

As we progress through school, career, and life, our perspectives change. For example, when I was a youngster, I was confident that, one day, I would know everything. After taking many classes, I began to realize that I might, one day, know everything about one topic. After pursuing graduate work, I realized that there are no limits to my ignorance, but I can keep an open mind and receptive spirit and learn new things every day.

Ontological humility is defined by Kofman as the acknowledgment that nobody has a "special claim on reality or truth" and "that others have equally valid perspectives deserving respect and consideration" (Kofman, 2006, p. 15). In other words, one's own view of reality is profoundly partial, partisan, and problematic.
