Homework: Critique Descriptive/Observational Methods of Research
Length: 5 to 7 pages
Instructions
Select one of the descriptive/observational approaches to research that you read. Then, prepare a written assessment to discuss how you might use this approach to explore your chosen topic of interest.
Be sure to address the following:
1. Why did you select this method?
2. What are the strengths and weaknesses of this approach?
3. Is this approach more aligned with a qualitative or a quantitative approach to research, and why?
Next, identify and explain at least one other descriptive/observational approach you might consider using when researching your topic further and describe the strengths and weaknesses of this approach. Determine whether it is more in line with a qualitative or a quantitative approach to research, and then explain why.
Support your homework with at least three scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
1. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
